Whisky, Wine & Fire - need we say more?

Warm up this winter as Whisky, Wine & Fire returns to Caulfield Racecourse every night between Thursday 18 and Sunday 21 of July.

This year, we're venturing below the surface to encompass Caulfield's new subterranean precinct in a tasting journey that will warm you from the inside out.

Set amongst an alluring fire garden, produce from boutique and distinguished distilleries and wine makers will be yours to explore into the dusk of the night. Savour elegant pours from acclaimed local and international labels, with experts on hand to guide you through individual notes and harmonies.

Fine food provedores will cook using fire as both heat and theatre to deliver smoky, saucy comfort foods fit for winter feasting. Hearty and nurturing, the menu is a celebration of all things roasted, smoked and spiced to be enjoyed next to the warmth of a fire.

A moving selection of live acoustic artists will set the tempo across four unforgettable evenings as you indulge the five senses in everything whisky, wine and fire.

Taste your way through Whisky, Wine & Fire:

Hoy Pinoy

The appeal of Hoy Pinoy lies in its laid-back, self-possessed, quietly confident authenticity. Its goal is not to take Filipino street food and make it haute, or hatted, commanding prices that would put off its current mobile market following.

Paringa Estate

It’s no secret that the Paringa Estate vineyard, in the cool climate sub-region of Red Hill, is a very special site, with a unique microclimate.

North facing, on ten acres of rich, red, un-irrigated volcanic soil, it’s at an elevation of 140 meters. It curls around the slope like an amphitheater, sheltered and warm, protected from south and southwesterly winds.

Chief's Son

The concept for Chief’s Son Distillery was born through a collision of opportunity and passion, yet it was ultimately built on a captivatingly true and powerful story of chance, risk and passion, but also history, love and family. The distillery was established in 2013 by Stuart and Naomi McIntosh, and after three years of test bed success the first commercial batch of single malt whisky was distilled at the current Somerville location.

Like many great stories, ours has its fair share of bold characters. It’s a tale of conflicts, redemption and triumphs that have made Laphroaig everything that it is. It’s a whisky heritage built by family and friendship that we devote our lives to. A tradition of doing things differently, with all the best bits from our past at the heart of our uncompromising peaty character.
